Kyle Busch Wins 50th Career NNS Race

Kyle Busch beat his teammate Joey Logano to the finish line by only .019 seconds to win his 50th NNS race and make history.

"We had mark with us there in Loudon, and it was a phenomenal way to win 49 races and tie Mark Martin, and then to come here and to be able to beat his record here at Bristol, one of my favorite places and one of the team's favorite places it was certainly an awesome race" - Kyle Busch

The final caution came out on lap 191 when David Starr blew a tire and hit the wall. This is where things got interesting, Joey Logano, Jason Leffler, and Elliott Sadler all stayed out and Kyle Busch was the first car off pit road with fresher tires. By lap 220 Busch had re-taken the lead from Logano. As Busch was getting closer and closer to making history, he catches up to a lap car and the lap car was holding him up causing the 2nd place car Logano to catch up to him, which led to that excting close finish.

the top 10: 1. Kyle Busch, 2. Joey Logano, 3. Clint Bowyer, 4. Carl Edwards, 5. Aric Almirola, 6. Michael Annett, 7. Jason Leffler, 8. Elliott Sadler, 9. Parker Kligerman, 10. Brian Scott

Bowyer Looking Into Other Teams

Clint Bowyer, current driver of the #33 Cheerios Chevy for Richard Childress Racing, is looking into other teams. His contract is up at the end of the year. Early in the year Bowyer had a desire to remain with RCR but things have "deteriorated." Not to mention that if he wanted to stay with RCR they would need to find a sponsor.

Here's a List of possible teams that could land Bowyer for the 2012 season:

1. Richard Petty Motorsports- They could option to sign Bowyer making them a 3 car operation. The only problem is sponsorship. Getting a package set for him could be what gets in the way for Bowyer coming to RPM.

2. Joe Gibbs Racing- They could settle for Bowyer a lot cheaper then what they could for Edwards. The only thing getting in the way again is sponsorship. GameStop could be an option. After Edwards announced he wasn't going to Gibbs the team called a 4th team a "Long Shot." They have the money and the experience to be able to sign Bowyer

3. Red Bull Racing- If the team can land investors soon Bowyer could go here. He was rumored to be close to signing with them, but that was before Red Bull announced they were leaving NASCAR. At this point and day I dont see him going here.

4. Michael Waltrip Racing- The team has looked at going to a 3 car team but they would have to find sponsorship. Toyota could give this team some help for landing Bowyer.

5. Roush Fenway- You probably are wondering why Roush Fenway because they already have 4 teams. Well, David Ragan has 1 year left on his contract after this season. David looked to be safe after he won Daytona in July. Well since then he has fell out of the top 20. He probably won't make the Chase. UPS contract is up at the end of this year as well. Sending David Ragan to Richard Petty Motorsports is possible opening room for Bowyer to come to Roush Fenway.

6. Richard Childress Racing- Of course they are possible. If Bowyer can't find any where else this is probably where he will land. They would have to find sponsorship though.

I think Bowyer will make his decision soon because he doesn't want it in the way of the team's focus especially because they are on the bubble to make the Chase.

Latest on the Said Vs. Biffle Feud

The latest feud around the Sprint Cup is Said Vs. Biffle. Here's a recap of what happened.

According to sources, Biffle approached Said's car after a wild green-white-checkered finish in which Said got into the back of #6-David Ragan, Biffle's Roush Fenway Racing teammate. After the race, Biffle took at least one swing at Said through the window of Said's car. Once Said unstrapped himself and climbed out of the car he went after Biffle, Biffle by then was protected by his crew. Said during a TV interview with ESPN The Magazine's Ryan McGee had to say this. "He is the most unprofessional little scaredy cat I've ever seen in my life.'' "He wouldn't even fight me like a man after. So if someone texts me his address, I'll go see him Wednesday at his house and show him what he really needs." Biffle used his Twitter to respond to Said's remarks. "Boris,'the roadcourse ringer' caused that wreck," he posted on his page, later adding. "Then Mr. Class pulls in behind my truck after the race today?! Shouldn't you go check on David & David? How unprofessional & disrespectful!" Both drivers left the track before NASCAR officials had a chance to talk to them.

The newest update on this feud.

Boris Said was on Sirius XM NASCAR Radio's "Sirius Speedway" with Dave Moody and had to say this:

"There were two separate things that went on (Monday), and I just want to clarify them," Boris said. "The crash with David Ragan had nothing to do with what happened with Greg Biffle. The thing with Ragan is what I'm most sorry about, and it really was just one of those racing deals. It was a product of double-file restarts and the green-white-checker. The way I see it after talking with David and Jack Roush today I gave him the inside in Turn One and we were drag racing toward Turn Two. Then his spotter cleared him and he came across my bow. It was a split-second decision and I couldn't get out of the gas. I wasn't even thinking about getting out of the gas, I was thinking about racing to the outside of him in Turn Two. It was unfortunate and I felt really bad about it." "The issue with Biffle, I have big problems with," repeated Said. "He was two laps down, and on one of the (earlier) restarts he was trying to wreck me. He told me I was `number one' for an entire lap. He's a good one-handed driver, that's for sure. I wanted to wreck him, but I have a lot of respect for Jack Roush, (who) has helped me a lot over the years. I wasn't going to wreck his car, so after I finally got by him, I told my spotter, `You tell Biffle that I'm going to come to his hauler after the race. I'm going to give him a free shot, then I'm going to whup his ass.' If had gotten to him, I'd have beat his ass," said Said. "It's a good thing I didn't get to him. We talked about it today (Tuesday), and I think we settled our differences. We had a long talk and I think we're okay. Maybe now we'll be lovers, not fighters." Said confirmed that he and Biffle had issues a year ago at WGI, after Biffle accused him of racing too hard and forcing a three-wide situation in Turn One. "He said I'm not a (Sprint Cup) regular and I shouldn't be racing him hard," recalled Said. "I could understand that if I was driving my own car, had a single trailer and was showing up to one or two races a year. But James Finch has a full-time team and he's been writing checks to NASCAR for entry fees since long before Greg Biffle ever got there. When James hires me, he expects me to go 100-percent. He doesn't expect me to let people by just because they're in it for points. James is in it for points, too. That's what I have a big disagreement about with Biffle. When Michael Waltrip runs two races a year, he doesn't tell his sponsor, `Oh by the way, I'm going to have to pull over for all those (full-time) guys because I'm not running for points.' I get disappointed and frustrated when I hear comments like that from guys like Biffle. I need to go out there and run as hard as I can, or people aren't going to hire me to drive their cars. That's what a guy like James Finch expects." Sirius Speedway

Trevor Bayne To Drive a Colorful Car at Michigan

Well 7 year old kids don’t usually design a race car but one 7 year old kid did. Katie Hahn of Omaha, Nebraska designed this colorful tie-dyed pattern car for the JDRF Race Car Design Contest. You can’t miss it! Katie has had type 1 diabetes since she was 5! JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) and Ford have had a partnership since 1998 and Ford has raised over 35 million dollars for JDRF. This kid didn’t just design this colorful car. She and her family have raised $4,210 making this contest have over $43,000 in donations. This story gets even more colorful because the team will be wearing matching uniforms, the pit wall lane will be just as colorful and Trevor Bayne driver of this colorful car will wear a fire suit supporting the colors like the car. This scheme will be run this weekend at Michigan

Brad Keselowski wins at Pocono despite his injury

Brad Keselowski won at Pocono, I totally did not see this win coming. In fact I was even surprised he was racing on Sunday! But he did race and driving injured paid off for him big time.

He was testing at Road Atlanta on Wednesday and was going into a turn when his brakes failed. He was going 100 mph after he managed to slow it down a little, but still hit the wall hard head on. Also that wall did not have a safer barrier, so he's lucky to be around today.

I left before the race ended, but when I came back I was shocked with the results of the race.I wasn't expecting Brad to be the one in Victory Lane but he was. I wouldn't been surprised if he had gotten a top 10 or top 5, but he won. Now I see why he didn't want anyone else getting in his car, because he believed that he had a chance at winning even when injured. He proved to everybody that he wasn't going to let this injury get in his way of racing and winning.

Congrats to Brad Keselowski on a great victory at Pocono!

Carl Edwards re-signs with RFR

It was announced Thursday that Carl Edwards re-signed with Roush Fenway Racing. All the rumors that he was going to Joe Gibbs Racing ended right there. Carl came to Pocono with a different mindset. He didn't have to deal with all the people asking him if he was headed to JGR in 2012 because he got that issue resloved during the week. Carl finished 7th at Pocono.

Now that it's settled Carl can focus on other things like winning races, and maybe even winning a championship. I believe we will see Carl Edwards in victory lane again this year. I believe his racing performance will be much better now that it's over and it's settled on where he will be next season. Could he be one of the contendors who will be battling for the championship at Homestead? I think so.

Paul Menard wins first career NSCS race

On Sunday the drivers raced at the Brickyard. Paul Menard ended up being the one who kissed the bricks at the end of the race. It was a big victory for him, and his victory came as a surprise to me. It was Paul Menard's first career NSCS victory.

I wasn't expecting him to win the race at all. I was sure that Jeff Gordon was going to catch him, or that he would run out of fuel, but he didn't, he won the race. This season is full of first time winners. So far it has been a very exciting season. It's like you don't know who will win until the final lap on turn 4. I'm happy for him getting his first career NSCS win.

I was enjoying the first part of that race, because if you haven't noticed I'm a Kasey fan. But it didn't go so well for him near the end. I felt that he had a great chance at winning but ended up finishing 18th. Although he didn't do so well, I was happy to see a new face in victory lane.

I wonder who will end up in victory lane at Pocono. I have a feeling we won't know until the last corner on the last lap of the race. Should be an exciting race to watch!
